Who we are

DrawingIdeas.net (drawingideas.net) is an independently run drawing-tutorial website. It is a static site: there are no user accounts, no logins, and no forms that store your data on our servers. Contact: hello@drawingideas.net.

What we collect directly

Almost nothing. Reading tutorials does not require you to give us any personal information. The random drawing generator and the step-by-step viewer run entirely in your browser; any progress you save ("continue from step 4") is stored in your own browser's local storage and never sent to us. If you email us, we use your address only to reply and do not add it to any list.

Analytics

We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-focused, cookie-free analytics tool, to understand aggregate traffic: which pages are viewed, roughly which country visitors come from, and which sites refer them. Plausible does not use cookies, does not collect personal data, and does not track you across websites. We use it only to see which tutorials people find useful.

Advertising and third-party cookies

We use Google AdSense to show advertisements on tutorial pages. This means that third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies and similar identifiers (such as web beacons and device identifiers) to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and to other websites.

• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
• You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info.

Visitors from the EEA, the UK and Switzerland

If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, personalized advertising is shown only after you give consent through a consent banner that meets Google's EU user consent policy. You can decline; you will then see non-personalized ads, which still use cookies for frequency capping, aggregated reporting and fraud prevention. You can change your choice at any time through the "Privacy settings" link in the site footer once the banner is active.

Visitors from California and other US states

We do not sell your personal information ourselves. Third-party advertising partners may process data in ways that some state laws treat as a "sale" or "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising; you can opt out using the Google Ads Settings link above or your browser's Global Privacy Control signal.

Children

DrawingIdeas.net is a general-audience website about learning to draw. Some tutorials are labeled "for kids" because the subject is simple, but the site is written for parents, teachers and learners of all ages and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email us and we will delete it.

Cookies we set ourselves

None. The only browser storage we use is local storage for your tutorial progress, which contains no personal data and never leaves your device.

Links to other sites

Tutorial pages may link to other websites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.

Your rights

Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data, or to object to its processing. Because we hold almost no personal data, the practical route is: email hello@drawingideas.net and tell us what you need. For data held by advertising partners, use the opt-out links above.

Changes

When this policy changes we update the date at the top of this page. Substantive changes (for example, adding a new third-party service) are also noted in our editorial policy.
