About DrawingIdeas.net

DrawingIdeas.net exists to answer one question — "what should I draw?" — and then actually help you draw it.

Most drawing-idea sites hand you a list of pretty pictures and wish you luck. We think an idea you can't execute is just frustration with better marketing, so every subject on this site comes with a real step-by-step tutorial: the construction shapes, the order of operations, the one mistake everyone makes, and ideas for where to take it next.

How our tutorials are made

Every tutorial follows the construction method taught in foundational art education: block in basic shapes, build structure, refine the outline, add defining details, then texture and shade. Step sequences are written per-subject and reviewed for accuracy against reference photography and standard anatomy references. Illustrations are original works created for this site.

Using our images

Tutorial images and reference sheets are © DrawingIdeas.net. You're welcome to use them for personal practice, classrooms, and non-commercial teaching with credit. For anything else, ask us — we're friendly.
